SCHOOL!!!

Both Eric and I went back to college this semester! We both are only taking two classes, we are in the same English/writing class and my other class is foundation of business thought and Eric is taking math! This week has been my first week of school and work, I didn't realize how much it would change my regular routines from day to day! My classes are pretty easy it's just really different to work later in the days on Tuesday's and not have my Thursday's to do whatever I want. I'm sure after a few weeks of getting used to it I will adjust just fine! I just hope I can make it until than!In our writing class right now we are writing a lot of reflection essays on the events that have taken place in our lives that have helped to shape the people we are today. The class has made me realize how many events in our lives Eric and I have experienced together because we started dating when we were 17. I'm so glad I married my best friend, and that its Eric that I get to ride on this roller coaster with! We both are really excited to continue in school and get our degrees and take on the world! We both have been so busy with work,Eric's running three websites now and Gear to Grow- the non profit he runs, and Target always keeps me taking on something new and different, that some people may think we are crazy trying to take on everything we do but we couldn't be more excited! I'm excited to get my degree and promote to ETL! We definitely have the world ahead of us! Its an exciting feeling to realize how much potential we both have and see some of those things coming to life!

I love being Aunt Ashlee!

Makyla and Malea came to stay in Utah for two weeks and came and stayed with us for 5 days! We had SOO much fun! The first day we just hung out by the pool and watched movies but the next day we went on a cool hike to stewart falls. It was a really hot day but when we got to the falls in was so fun to cool off in the mist and play in the water. I think the girls loved it!

On Friday we went to this arcade/pizza place with Troy and Karlie, the food was terrible but the arcades were lots of fun. On Saturday we went to the UP house.

It was the parade of homes so they had these guys outside dressed just like the characters from the movie! We got to go inside and they had every detail just like the movie, chairs, ties, beds, paintings EVERYTHING! It was fun to see the girls so excited over all the little details.Even the little mailbox outside was a replica of the movie!

I'm so lucky to have 4 of the CUTEST nieces ever. I know everyone says that about their nieces but seriously have you seen mine? Its been so fun to watch Siri and Brynn grow up and show personality as little babies, I was thinking when Malea and Kyla were staying with us; soon this will be Siri and Brynn! Crazy how fast time flies! I love watching all of them grow up and cant wait to have many more FUN adventures with my nieces! I love being an aunt!

Califronia summer 2011

Summer has been so busy for us I feel like we have been gone more than we have been home. We went to California in July and spent a week with the Peterson family. While we were there we got family pictures done and they turned out SO cute! I cant wait to order the pictures and get them up in the house. While we were out there Eric took me to San Fransisco for the first time(about a 2 hour drive from Eric's parents). We went to Lombard street (the crookedest street) It was crazy how steep the roads are. I was freaking out a little!
We went to Fisherman's Warf, and had lunch on Pier 39. After lunch we went and checked out Ghirardelli square and walked around the shops. On the way back we went to the beach and took pictures of the golden gate bridge!  We drove over the bridge into San Fransisco, I always get nervous driving over bridges, and as we were getting closer I was freaking out a little bit. Luckily there was fog just around the bridge so I couldn't really see how high up we were. We decided that every time we go to California we are going to try and visit a fun place. While we were visiting Brian and Jackie took us out on their new boat, and I FINALLY got up and stayed up..even for just a few minutes on the wake board!  It's always so nice to get out there and see all our friends and family and we cant wait to start planning our next trip!

Summer

We are loving finally being able to enjoy the outdoors! For a while we thought summer was never going to come. I took the past few days off and we got to go spend Friday afternoon with my family up American fork canyon. I'm grateful to have little brothers and sisters to spend time with and watch grow up. Eric is the youngest in his family so we get the best of both worlds! I wish we lived close to both families, on holidays like to today its hard for us to not be able to see everyone! We miss our family in California and cant wait to see them next month. With today being fathers day I want to wish my dad and my father in law a happy fathers day. Both of them are two of the most amazing men I know... besides Eric of course! My dad has taught me the value of hard work and determination. He has taught me to push myself in everything I do and never settle for less than what I deserve. Dennis (my father in law) has also taught me so much in the short time I have known him. He is a man with unconditional love and concern for everyone around him. He is a great example of devotion to his wife and his family I'm so lucky to have married into such a great family. I also wanted to wish Eric a happy fathers day even though hes not a dad yet. He is such a great husband and teaches me things everyday. Our kids are going to be lucky to have such a fun, intelligent, loving and patient dad!
